Speech by the 14th Dalai Lama in Japan
Dialogue for the future of the Earth

Planned and moderated by Akifumi Onaka
Mr. Onaka is a cognitive scientist who serves as head of Aoyama Planning Arts, Inc. With innovative visions always in mind, he has engaged in a number of unique projects, such as the development of a cognitive science-based multi-screen video presentation system, the planning and creation of Japan’s first political party manifesto and the successful launch of the world’s first broadband broadcast featuring a political party. He has also formulated strategies for many organizations including national and foreign government agencies, major corporations and political parties.

Humans and the environment in the era of the Earth
Before the dialogue session with the 14th Dalai Lama, a pre-event was held in which four Japanese scientists spoke about their views and thoughts on the future of the Earth. The conversations with the speakers provided a precious opportunity for us to share time with participants to ponder the questions of “What is the Earth?” “What is diversity?” “What is life and mind?” and “What is happiness?”
